The HYDROS Skimmer Sensor is a purpose-built accessory designed to prevent protein skimmer overflow in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Installed inside the skimmer collection cup, it uses a magnetically coupled optical sensor to detect rising waste levels. When the sensor is triggered, it signals the HYDROS system to turn the skimmer off, keeping skimmate contained in the cup and preventing spills into the sump. The sensor plugs directly into any HYDROS Sense Port and requires no additional power supply. Its compact, no-moving-parts design allows for easy installation without modifying your skimmer or collection cup.
